Prepare your Trezor Hardware Wallet

If anything seems unusual, do not use it and contact Bitcast immediately.

After Unboxing

Go to the Trezor website or the Trezor Suite app.
Visit trezor.io/start to begin the Trezor Model One setup process.
Select “Download for desktop” to download the app, or choose “Continue in browser” to use it directly in your browser without downloading.
This guide recommends using the application for convenience, especially for beginners, and to prevent access to fake websites.

Set up Trezor Model One.
Connect the USB cable to your Trezor and your computer or Android smartphone.
Trezor Suite will detect the device and start the setup process.
Select "Set up my Trezor."

Install firmware update.
Trezor devices do not come with pre-installed firmware. Users must download the firmware themselves by clicking the "Install firmware" button.

Press the “Continue” button on the right side of the Trezor device.

Wait for the firmware to download successfully, then click the "Continue" button on the screen.

Create a new Wallet.
Once the firmware has been downloaded and installed, select "Create new wallet" to create a new wallet if you don't already have a Seed Phrase.

If you already have a Seed Phrase from another device, such as having previously created a Seed Phrase from another Hardware Wallet, select "Recover wallet" to enter your existing Seed Phrase on Trezor only.

Click "Standard seed backup" to create a Seed phrase.

Press the “Confirm” button on the right side of the Trezor device.

Click "Create backup" to write down the Seed phrase that Trezor will randomly generate.

Read and understand the best practices for protecting your Seed phrase, then check all three checkboxes and click "Begin backup."

Write down the Recovery Seed (Wallet Backup).
Trezor will display 24 Seed words (other models offer 12-24 words).
Write each word in order on the paper or backup card provided in the box.

Do not take photos or store them digitally. They must be kept offline and in a very secure place.
Write down the words provided in the correct order. It is recommended to number them.

The Trezor device will prompt you to verify and confirm the words in various orders to check if you have written them down correctly. It is crucial not to mix up the order.
Set PIN.
Click "Continue to PIN" to set a PIN for unlocking your Trezor.

Click "Set a PIN" to set your PIN.

Enter the numbers on the screen according to their positions on the Trezor to set your desired PIN, from 1-9 (no 0). The numbers change positions every time to prevent PIN guessing.
Once you have set the PIN, click "Confirm" at the bottom of the computer screen.

Re-enter the PIN to confirm the correct numbers.

Once the PIN is set successfully, "PIN set" will appear on the computer screen. Then click Continue.

Click "Confirm" on Trezor to encrypt the Trezor.

Select the coins you want to manage (Activate Coins).
In Trezor Suite, you will have the option to "Activate" the coins you want to display in the Suite (e.g., BTC, ETH, etc.). Choose what you use, and you can change it later.
Once you have selected the coins, click "Complete setup."
