How to Verify a Genuine Trezor Safe 3

What's in the Trezor Safe 3 box?

When you receive your product from Thai Bitcast and unbox it, you should find these items:

• Trezor Safe 3 device with a holographic sticker over the port
• Black sticker wrapped around the device (must be removed before use)
• USB-C cable
• Quick start guide
• 2 recovery seed cards
• Trezor stickers

Key points to check

Holographic sticker

This is the most important point! There should be no tears or signs of removal.

• Old version: The original type used before April 2024

• New version: Has UK CA mark and is easier to detect if tampered with (imported after April 2024)

If there's an issue with the sticker, please contact Bitcast immediately.

Plastic box wrap

• Transparent: From an older batch, but definitely genuine.
• With Trezor watermark: The latest version.

Both types are genuine products imported by Bitcast, so no need to worry.

Recovery seed cards

Depending on the batch we order:

• 2023 batch: 12-word cards.
• 2024 batch: Upgraded to 20-word cards (more secure).

A reminder: Never take pictures of these cards and keep them safe. If someone steals them, all your assets will be gone! 😱

Trezor security technology

1. No firmware in the box. Every device sent from Trezor is blank with no pre-installed firmware. You will install it yourself upon first use. If it has firmware already = fake. Please contact us immediately.
   
   
2. Firmware verification system. Every time you plug in the device, the Trezor Suite software verifies that the firmware is genuine from SatoshiLabs.
   
   
3. Secure Element. Trezor Safe 3 has a special chip that protects against physical attacks and tampering. This is why the admin recommends this model over older ones.

• Slightly rough edges - No need to worry, this is a manufacturing mark, not a counterfeit.

• Device doesn't turn on - This is because it doesn't have a built-in battery. You need to connect it to a computer or smartphone first.
