Check the exterior of the box and the seal sticker for any signs of tampering or tearing.
If anything is unusual, do not use the device and contact Bitcast immediately.

After Unboxing

Go to Trezor website or Trezor Suite app.
Visit trezor.io/start to begin the Trezor Model One setup process.
Select “Download for desktop” to download the App or select “Continue in browser” to use without downloading.
This guide will recommend using the application for user convenience and to prevent accessing fake websites.

Set up Trezor Model One
Connect the USB cable to Trezor and your computer or Android smartphone.
Trezor Suite will detect the device and begin the setup process.
Select “Set up my Trezor”

Install firmware updates

Trezor devices do not come with pre-installed firmware. Users must download the firmware themselves by pressing the “Install firmware” button.

Press the “Continue” button on the right side of the Trezor device.

Wait for the firmware to download successfully and click “Continue” on the screen.

Create a new wallet

After the firmware is successfully installed, select “Create new wallet” to create a new wallet if you don't have a Seed Phrase yet.

If you already have a Seed Phrase from another device, for example, if you created a Seed Phrase from another Hardware Wallet before, select “Recover wallet” to enter your existing Seed Phrase on Trezor.

Click “Standard seed backup” to create a Seed Phrase.

Press the “Confirm” button on the right side of the Trezor device.

Click “Create backup” to record the Seed phrase that Trezor will randomly generate.

Read and understand the best practices for looking after your Seed phrase, then check the three square boxes and click “Begin backup.”

Write down the Recovery Seed (Wallet Backup).

Trezor will display all 24 Seed words (other models offer a choice of 12-24 words).
Write each word in order on the paper or backup card provided in the box.

Do not take photos or save as digital files. Keep it offline and in a very secure place.
Write down the words given in the correct order. It is recommended to number them.

The Trezor device will ask you to verify the words in different orders again to check if they are written correctly. Do not mix up the order.
Set PIN

Click “Continue to PIN” to set a PIN to unlock your Trezor device.

Click “Set a PIN” to set the PIN.

Press the numbers on the screen according to the position of the numbers on Trezor to set the desired PIN. There are no zeros and the numbers change position every time to prevent PIN guessing.
Once the PIN is set, click “Confirm” at the bottom of the computer screen.

Enter the PIN again to confirm the correct numbers.

Once the PIN is successfully set, "PIN set" will appear on the computer screen. Then click Continue.

Press “Confirm” on Trezor to encrypt Trezor.

Select the coins you want to manage (Activate Coins).

In Trezor Suite, there will be an option to "Activate" the coins you want to display in the Suite (e.g., BTC, ETH, etc.). Select the ones you use; you can change them later.
Once you have selected the coins, click "Complete setup".
