Guide to Transferring Bitcoin from InnovestX to Trezor Hardware Wallet

You have chosen the best way to self-custody! Moving digital assets from an Exchange (InnovestX) to a Hardware Wallet (Trezor) is a shift from "online" storage to "offline" storage (Cold Storage), which is the highest security standard in the crypto world.

This guide will walk you through each step in detail to ensure your coin transfer is accurate and secure.

Part 1: Preparing Your Hardware Wallet (Trezor)

Before entering the InnovestX app, we need to use Trezor to create an "Address" for receiving coins. (If you have other hardware wallet models, feel free to use them, but in this article, I will use Trezor as an example for receiving coin transfers.)

1.1 Prepare Trezor and Create an Address

• Open Trezor Suite: Connect your Trezor device, which has been set up with a Seed Phrase, to your computer and open the Trezor Suite software.

• Bitcoin (BTC)

2.1 Select an account and click "Receive": Select the coin account you wish to receive (Bitcoin) and click the "Receive" button to generate a receiving address. Then click the "Show full address" button to display the receiving address.

2.2 Confirm on the device (Very important!): Trezor Suite will display an address. You must confirm that the address on the computer screen matches the address on your Trezor device 100%.

Reason: To prevent malware that might change the address on your computer screen without your knowledge.

2.3 Copy the Address: Copy the address you just confirmed from Trezor Suite and keep it ready.

This completes the preparation of the "Address" for receiving Bitcoin.

[Additional explanation for beginners]: Normally, each time you click "Receive" on Trezor, the system will display a new receiving address for you to use. This is the best practice for maintaining privacy in crypto transactions. Therefore, don't worry if the address each time is not the same as the address you used before, because Trezor intentionally generates a new address every time, so that no one can know how many coins you have in this wallet in total.

Part 2 (1): Initiating a Transfer from InnovestX (General Steps)

Access the "Withdrawal" page on InnovestX

• Access the InnovestX app.
• Go to the "Crypto" menu.
• Go to the "Digital Asset Account" menu to view the list of digital assets.
• Select the coin you wish to transfer (e.g., BTC, ETH, USDT) and click on it.

Part 2 (2): Transferring Bitcoin (BTC)

Entering BTC Transfer Information on InnovestX

• Address: Paste the BTC address copied and confirmed from Trezor (check the first 5 and last 5 characters to ensure they match).
• Network: Select Bitcoin Network or BTC.
• Amount: Enter the amount of BTC you wish to transfer or withdraw.
• Review the fees and the amount of coins you will receive, then click "Review Withdrawal Order Information."

• Review the "Destination Address" again (very important!). If correct, you can click "Confirm."
• Select identity verification using "Authenticator."
• Open the "Google Authenticator" app that you registered during signup.
• Enter the code from the "Google Authenticator" app into the "InnovestX" app and click "Confirm."

• The system will prompt for "Transaction confirmation via email."
• Check the email address associated with this account, review the transaction, and click "Confirm withdrawal."
• Once confirmed, the system will display a "Withdrawal" window.
• When viewing the InnovestX app, the system will show "Processing," meaning the transaction is currently being processed.

• Wait a moment for the system to transfer the coins (approximately 10-30 minutes), then check the transaction status in the "Transaction History" menu.
• If the status shows "Complete," it means the coins have been withdrawn from the Exchange and transferred to your address. You can check the "Order Completed" timestamp on this page.
• Verify the transaction status at the "Destination Address" on your Trezor (Hardware Wallet) to see if the coins have been received.

Part 3: Verifying Success in Trezor Suite (Hardware Wallet)

• Status on InnovestX: The transaction will be in "Processing" status and will be completed when it shows "Complete."
• Status in Trezor Suite: Once the transaction is confirmed, you will see the transferred coin balance appear in Trezor Suite (this may take approximately 10-30 minutes, depending on the exchange and time).

Initially, on the Trezor Suite interface, the incoming transaction will appear (for example, +13,000 sat). However, notice that this transaction shows "Receiving BTC" and "Unconfirmed," meaning the transaction is in process and not yet finalized. You need to wait some time until this transaction shows "Received BTC" as shown in the example below.

Once your transaction shows "Received BTC" and "Confirmed," you've successfully completed it! Your digital assets are now securely stored in your Hardware Wallet, which only you control.
