1. Introduction and Prerequisites
Precautions Before Use
Before starting the setup process, it is important to inspect the packaging and holographic seal to ensure that our device has not been tampered with by others. If any signs of tampering are found, discontinue use of the device immediately and contact Bitcast for assistance and immediate device replacement.

- Write down "Word #1" correctly in both order and word.
- Repeat this step until you have recorded all 12-24 words as selected earlier.

Security Recommendations (Seed Phrase)
- The Recovery Phrase (or Seed Phrases) must be kept safe as it is the only key that can restore our assets.
- Do not make digital copies of the Seed Phrases and never upload them online.
- Store it in the safest place possible, and no one should have access to it except people you trust.
Step 3: Check and Confirm Recovery Phrase
- When the screen displays "Check Words Again", verify and compare the words written on the Seed Phrase sheet with the words shown on the OneKey device to ensure the order and words match.

- Check and confirm the Recovery Phrase words one by one by selecting the correct word when the device asks.
- Repeat this step until the message "Awesome! Your backup is complete." appears.

Step 4: Set a PIN Code
- Set a PIN code (4 to 9 digits) to unlock your OneKey device.
- Choose your PIN digits (1 to 9, no 0).
- If setting only 6 digits, select ☑️ for the 7th digit to confirm.
- Enter the PIN code again to confirm.

- When the screen displays "Wallet is ready! Download ....", it means the hardware wallet setup is complete. Please follow the on-screen instructions and proceed to the next step (Step 5).
