Summary of Hardware Wallet Usage Workshop for Beginners

Hello everyone. On Sunday, February 8th (yesterday), Bitcast held a workshop on using Hardware Wallets for beginners at SCBX Next Tech, Siam Paragon, to share knowledge about securing digital assets with everyone.

Workshop Overview

We divided the content into 3 main sessions. In each session, we guided everyone through using popular hardware wallet brands, from basic setup to advanced techniques.

Training Content

Session 1: Trezor (10:30 - 12:00)

• Introduction to how hardware wallets work and why private keys are so important.
• Detailed guidance on initial setup and creating a new wallet.
• Checking device security and updating firmware to the latest version.

Session 2: OneKey (13:00 - 14:30)

• Introducing the unique features of OneKey that set it apart from others.
• Instructions on how to securely use it with various DApps.
• Sharing techniques for managing multiple currency wallets.

Session 3: Ledger, Keystone, Tangem, and Others (15:00 - 16:30)

• A comparison of the prominent features of each brand.
• Recommendations on how to choose a hardware wallet suitable for individual use.
• Instructions on how to securely store backups and recovery seeds.

Feedback from Participants

We are very happy that so many of you showed overwhelming interest, especially regarding security and preventing asset loss. There was a lot of experience sharing and excellent questions. Thank you to everyone who offered suggestions on time management. Many mentioned wanting more time for each session to fully explore and practice.

Future Plans

Following this success, we plan to continue organizing similar workshops to help everyone learn more about digital asset security. We will also add more content tailored to everyone's needs.

For the next event, we will improve several aspects:

1. Find a more suitable venue for the workshop.
2. Increase the number of staff to better attend to everyone.
3. Add online webinar options to make it easier for friends from other provinces or those unable to travel to participate. Details will be announced soon.

Workshop Summary

This was a very good first step in sharing knowledge about digital asset security with the Thai community. Although there were some minor issues, it showed us that many people are truly interested in learning about this topic.
