By choosing the OneKey Classic 1S Pure BTC-Only, you are prioritizing the security of your Bitcoin. This model is ideal for HODLers, as "Pure" means the battery has been removed to prevent long-term degradation, and "BTC-Only" signifies a firmware exclusively designed for Bitcoin, eliminating vulnerabilities from supporting other cryptocurrencies and unnecessary code.

This guide will simplify the steps and walk you through them one by one.

1. Getting Started and What You Need

Precautions Before Use

Before starting the setup process, it's crucial to inspect the packaging and holographic seal to ensure that your device has not been tampered with. If you find any signs of tampering, discontinue use immediately and contact Bitcast for assistance and device replacement.

What You Need

OneKey Classic 1S Pure BTC-Only device
OneKey App (Desktop, Browser Extension, or Mobile) already downloaded and installed
Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase) sheet included in the box
Pen for writing down the Seed Phrase

2. Device Initialization

Steps 1 to 3 involve direct setup on the OneKey Classic 1S Pure BTC-Only device, compatible with both Desktop and Smartphone connections.

Step 1: Power On and Select Language

Press and hold the power button until "Power on" appears to turn on your OneKey Classic 1S Pure BTC-Only.
Select your desired language following the on-screen instructions. "English" is recommended.
Press the right button on the OneKey Classic 1S Pure BTC-Only to proceed.

Step 2: Create a New Wallet

Select "Create New Wallet" to create a new wallet.
Choose the number of words for your Recovery Phrase (e.g., 12 or 24 words).

Use the provided Seed phrase sheet to write down the 12/24 words displayed on the screen.
Accurately record "Word #1" in both order and spelling.
Repeat this step until all 12-24 words, as chosen earlier, are recorded.

Security Recommendations (Seed Phrase)

The Recovery Phrase (or Seed Phrases) must be kept secure, as it is the sole key to recover your assets.
Never create digital copies of Seed Phrases or upload them online.
Store it in the safest possible place, inaccessible to anyone except trusted individuals.

Step 3: Verify and Confirm Recovery Phrase

When the screen displays "Check Words Again," verify and compare the words written on your Seed Phrase sheet with the words shown on the OneKey device to ensure the order and words match.

Verify and confirm each word of the Recovery Phrase by selecting the correct word when prompted by the device.
Repeat this step until the message "Awesome! Your backup is complete." appears.

Step 4: Set a PIN Code

Set a PIN code (4 to 9 digits) to unlock your OneKey device.
Select the PIN digits (1 to 9, no 0).
If setting a 6-digit PIN, select ☑️ at the 7th digit to confirm.
Enter the PIN code again to confirm.

When the screen displays "Wallet is ready! Download ...", your hardware wallet setup is complete. Please follow the on-screen instructions and proceed to the next step (Step 5).

Security Recommendations (PIN Code)

The PIN code is used to unlock the OneKey device and can be changed later.
If the PIN code is entered incorrectly 10 consecutive times, the hardware wallet will be completely reset.
Never use a device that has a pre-set PIN code or Recovery Phrases.

3. Connecting to Smartphones

Step 5: Connect to OneKey Mobile App

Download and install the OneKey App (mobile version).
Click on the account name and select "Add wallet."
Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is on and bring your OneKey Classic 1S Pure BTC-Only device close to your phone.
Select "Connect hardware wallet."

Press the "Start connection" button.
Tap on the device name (e.g., K1111) to proceed.
Enter the pairing code displayed on your hardware wallet into the OneKey app to pair the devices.

Confirm on the OneKey Classic 1S Pure BTC-Only device to verify the device's authenticity.
Click "Continue" when "Verification successful" is displayed.
Wait until the OneKey app finishes creating the wallet account.

Step 6: Check Wallet Address

In the OneKey App Mobile, click "Receive."
Select the coin for which you want to check the receiving address (e.g., Bitcoin).
Select the address type.

Select "Verify on device."
Compare the address displayed on the OneKey app with the address on the OneKey Classic 1S Pure BTC-Only device.
Confirm on the device if both addresses match.

Congratulations! Your OneKey Classic 1S Pure BTC-Only is now ready to act as a "safe" protecting your digital assets. As long as you keep your Seed Phrase (the 12 or 24 words you wrote down) as secure as possible, your coins will remain safe forever.
